This is the time of year where things have slowed down a tad bit in real estate but where I am still very busy wrapping up all of the end of year things, such as reviewing and cleaning up my escrow account, preparing Owner’s Policies, mailing out recorded Deeds and closing files.

As I mentioned at our monthly meeting, we had our busiest quarter ever in October, November and December of last year which is thanks to all of the agents and attorneys who support the title company.

AND as a REMINDER of my out-of-state training in Lansdale, PA which takes place Friday, March 16th through Monday, March 19th, I will not have access to e-mail or any of my files during this time. Unless notified in advance, I will NOT be able to conduct business or closings on Friday the 16th, Monday the 19th and a good portion of Tuesday the 20th. Future e-mails will go out to all the agents and attorneys regarding these dates.

I will be out of the office next week (the week of February 20th) and will be returning on Monday, February 27th. I will be going to NC to help Jenn, her husband, and baby Lucas get settled into their new home at Camp LeJeune in Jacksonville.

I will be processing closings while I am gone. Please keep in mind that no closings will be processed on Monday as it is a bank holiday.

Reminders:

Realtor.com payments for 2012 are due today, February 17th. If you have not yet made this payment, please let Dan or myself know when we can expect to receive the payment. If you are not sure of your payment level, please let me know.

February monthly bills will be emailed to you next Wednesday, February 22nd. Please note that there will be a slight increase in your ad fund of $25 monthly to a technology fund which is now $40 per month.

2011 Expense statements are available for you and/or your accountant. Please let me know if you’d like to pick up the report or have it emailed to you.

What moves someone to buy or sell a home? Four new RE/MAX TV ads depict life-changing moments that spark a move — and reinforce the message that RE/MAX agents can help in any situation.

Here, weeks before it debuts on national TV, is one of the new commercials: “Anthem.” You can embed the video on your website or blog, or share it via social media and show it to clients and your sphere.

The 2012 RE/MAX advertising campaign, “For All the Things That Move You,” centers on the pivotal life moments – a marriage proposal, a new baby, a student leaving home for college – that drive the decision to buy or sell a home.

The four new TV ads will appear in 15- and 30-second versions on major network and cable programming. In a fifth, 30-second TV ad in the U.S., RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly thanks buyers and sellers for helping RE/MAX earn its two trophies from J.D. Power and Associates. That ad debuted in December during the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship on ESPN.

Web, radio, print and outdoor ads, which will vary in exposure from region to region, will complement the TV ads and reinforce the campaign’s message. The national radio spots, which include RE/MAX ads during the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl, feature the new messaging, too.

Customizable Design Center resources will be available in March, after RE/MAX R4.
